"Sound" really doesnt make sound

Really interesting/depressing article about how everything we perceive is just a biological interpretation by our brain. Sound for example, being in actuality vibrations in the air, is translated by our brains into media we can interpret. That noise you hear isnt actually a noise..its your brain telling you some air particles are jumping up and down in a certain way.

Consider:  It appears that ordinary matter -- all of the stuff that we can see, such as planets and stars -- makes up only 4.9% of all the universe.

Quotes

At a certain stage the realization strikes through that one must either live outside of society's bonds or die of absolute boredom. There is no future or freedom in the circumscribed life and the only other life is complete rejection of the rules. There is no longer room for the soldier of fortune or the gentleman adventurer who can live both within and outside of society. Today it is all or nothing. To save my own sanity I chose the nothing.
