Digimon was a well written cartoon that got totally smoked by Pokemon because it had multiple episode story arc while pokemon episodes (after the first season )were each a short stand alone story.

Stores love writers but hate artists

Why does 750 pieces of blank white copy paper cost $3 and I can get a 100 page notebook with lined paper for 49 cents, but 50 blank white copy paper in a note book for drawing costs $14?Why are notebooks for drawing so many times more expensive than notebooks for writing?

Also...since when are skateboards like $150+??? I've been going around looking for a cheap skateboard and the only skateboard under 60$ is a crappy walmart board with plastic barrings. When did skating boarding become a sport for the wealthly where the boards are about the logos not the usability?

Spanish Language Channel tops TV ratings

Spanish language cable station Univision has outperformed all english language cable stations this month in the rating. I've watched Univsion programing and while funky..its basically hyper-Fox style sex and craziness. This victory isnt about quality of programing IMHO. Its about socioeconomic reality of who still uses TV as a major form of entertainment. White rich people who watch TV arnt being counted by networks because they are getting their TV from various internet distributors like Hulu or have abandoned TV entirely for new media. Latinos, who in America tend to be more poor and working class with less education and exposure to technology are still wedded to the old ball and chain. This also may account for why Latinos are now leading in another American statistic - Obesity.

Gov accuses Gallup polling of false claims

I never in my life have been polled by any media, whether by "poffesional" pollsters or just the TV news, nor ever seen evidence anyone going around polling people. Ive often wondered how/where these poll companies get their data and still manage to completely miss me and stay off my radar. Apparently the Justice Dept. would like to know as well.

Lets leave slavery up to the States too

I really hate sounding like fox news but...weakest president ever! Obama keeps punting..whether its kids shot in schools, kids shot in Syria or just one kid shot in Florida. Lets leave justice for Trayvon up to the Florida justice system >? Really? you thought that was a satisfactory answer? Jeez. The man does nothing. Talk is cheap Obama..what happened to "change we could believe in" ?

Do people forget that Jesus lost and died a horrible death?

I was set on another mental birdwalk today while listening to the radio.  When we tell our kids to live your life like Jesus did are we saying we want them to be social revolutionaries who give up their regular lives to challenge the most power empire in the world and lose? While small parts of his story would be cooped into a world religion, Jesus lost his fight against the Roman occupation of Israel (and the decadent culture they brought with them) and he died quite horribly for it. What parent thinks to themselves "I want to give my kids values that lead to them being force marched through the streets and crucified by the government?" This led me to wonder as long as we are tell our children to live meaningful lives, should we be teaching our kids to be more like Osama Bin Laden rather than Jesus. Osama also led a revolution to oust a foreign invader and their foreign culture from his country. Imagine if Saudi Arabia wanted to create enclaves of armed soldiers in the US that were governed by Saudi not US law, and the US government just gave away whole parts of cities to Saudi Arabia to make this happen. Very few if any Americans, especially the Americans who had their land taken, would just stand idly by and let that happen without armed revolt...so honestly if you were counseling your children on how to react - would you tell them to fight like Jesus and MLK? OR like Osama? All 3 died..but while Jesus and MLK peaceful demonstration just led more praceful demonstration and endless debate - I'm pretty sure no one will be building foreign bases in a Muslim county any time soon.

The Islamic group Boko Haram whose name means “Western education is sacrilege.” claimed responsibility for killing a bunch of kids today.

I dont understand why when we were "nation building" in Iraq and Afganastan we didnt address the culture of crazy religion in those countries. The modern world needs to go into places like Nigeria or Texas with crazy religious beliefs and  take control of the message. Dismantle the temples to gods of hate. They are more then welcome to be Islamic. But until they can handle it without going off the rails they need to be hearing it from world religious body not the local shaman with no teeth. Lets abolish the UN..because really what does it do anymore and create a a governing body of world religion that sends in holy men and builds temples and provides services.

Does the State Dept ever tell the truth?

John Kerry was spotted chilling on his mega-yacht by members of the press during the recent Egyption coup. When asked why the Seceratry of State was on holiday during a crisis (reminiscent of the president of BP during the gul oil spill) the State dept deliberately misled the press and said he was hard at work.

 “Since his plane touched down in Washington at 4 am, Secretary Kerry was working all day and on the phone dealing with the crisis in Egypt,” Psaki said. “He participated in the White House meeting with the President by secure phone and was and is in non-stop contact with foreign leaders, and his senior team in Washington and Cairo.”

Then the pictures started showing up.

Maybe the guy was working from his yacht or whatever..but the first choice was to be dishonest. Kerry, Edwards, Clinton, Obama. Not a single one of the democrat inner circle has a word you can trust. Bill Clinton set the bar for honesty and transparency with this group and water seeks its own level. Bill Clinton should have been arrested for lying under oath and Hilary, who continues to cover for him, shouldnt ever hold high office that requires integrity. I'm' sorry for the women of the world but Hilary is not an answer for 2016
