Dont vote - hire a lobbiest

I'm not big on voting. There are too many morons out there for my vote to count - thats the nature of the bell curve. Not a very democratic position - but this isnt a democracy. Its a Capitalist Republic. The very nature of which is that you vote (or hire) someone who excels at that role to represent you. If you look at the spending involved in the last legislative session in Wa, you will see that it wasnt voters who were involved it was interest groups of voters. Or rather people who who paid to promote a certain opinion to legislators. What interesting to me is the cost of their efforts. While they didnt all get what they wanted at least their issues got discussed. At an average cost of $500k.

If getting the legislature to discuses foster care only costs ~$500k I say lets do it. At one sixth the cost of my parents "golden calf" apartment, the potential life saved comes super cheap.

Quotes

At a certain stage the realization strikes through that one must either live outside of society's bonds or die of absolute boredom. There is no future or freedom in the circumscribed life and the only other life is complete rejection of the rules. There is no longer room for the soldier of fortune or the gentleman adventurer who can live both within and outside of society. Today it is all or nothing. To save my own sanity I chose the nothing.
