All I can say is
its about time! Accountability! Accountability! Accountability! We need more - say it with me now - accountability in EVERY facet of our society. Lawyers, police, politicians, teachers and yes parents need to be evaluated in some meaningful fashion. Thats how people get better at what they do and we recognize the people who should be doing something else.
It doesnt sound like this law has many teeth but it will help move foward the merit pay system for teachers, allowing for some evidence that the teacher isnt totally to blame for the kids bad grades. Which should help more teachers embrace merit pay.

Very interesting. Merit pay for teachers is a slippery slope.
What happens if your peers are the judges and they don't like you? It sometimes becomes a popularity contest. Be very careful with what you wish for.
Who is the judge for the parents?
