Done with World of Warcraft

I guess you can have my stuff but I'm not logging again to give it out heh.

World of Warcraft is a beautiful world and anyone who hasnt experienced the breath of the content should. And the Battlegrounds are still quite fun (except for the new ones) But after killing the lichking..I'm out of content save the last 5% that they want us to effectively stand in line for. Thats not adventure..thats paying 15 bucks a month to stand in line..

Anyhoo killing the Lich king was straw on the camels back but there were other reasons to leave as well.

1) Firelands was a amusement ride on rails where you had to stand in line with 10000 other people in order to collect 5 wigets and then wait 48 hours sto do it again.
2) Tol Barad, the new world PvP zone was a complete no-brainer. Run to point A, then run to point B then run to point C. Rinse repeat. And since they didnt update Wintergrap's rewards that extremely well done world pvp zone is completely empty.
3) The recent removal of tanking threat from the game was the last in a long line of nerfing mobs and encounters to make them all trivial zergfests.
4)The promise of Cataclysm, ie that starting a new charecter and revisiting the world would feel new and fresh, was a false promise. All they did was streamline quests which mostly trivialize more content and add new encounters to 2 dungeons. I'm not by any means a fast leveler but it feels like 2 kills and your on to the next zone..

Quotes

At a certain stage the realization strikes through that one must either live outside of society's bonds or die of absolute boredom. There is no future or freedom in the circumscribed life and the only other life is complete rejection of the rules. There is no longer room for the soldier of fortune or the gentleman adventurer who can live both within and outside of society. Today it is all or nothing. To save my own sanity I chose the nothing.
