Canada ends funding of Canadian "peace corps"

Wrong direction Canada..totally wrong direction. If you dont expose people to volunteerism early on they'll be too introverted and busy buying expensive homes and lattes to bother volunteering when they are older.

Hmm..been through something similar myself.

New York Schools to ban use of 50 words

Via the Dori Monsen show, are all schools boards chalk full of nut-jobs ? (Yes because normal people dont get involved)

New York City schools are banning 50 words on tests including the use of Dinosaur because it "promotes evolution", Halloween "for promoting paganism" and birthday for "offending Jehovah Witnesses"
