The reason that the roll call vote in the House took place in this fashion is that Senate Democratic leadership wanted to extend the Patriot Act without any roll call vote at all, and without any debate. The House Democratic leadership was only too happy to go along with the game of camouflaging the Patriot Act extension vote...more Democrats than Republicans voted for this concealed maneuver to perpetuate the abuses of the Patriot Act. Is that what Democratic voters thought they were getting back in the election of 2008?

Another depressing story of a kid horribly abused and then killed due to classic DSHS behavior/neglect. I could post one of these at least once a week. People know and are doing nothing because the life of one poor kid is not important enough to intrude on the happy relative lack of conflict in the lives of rich American.

Progressive Insurance has a commercial going on right now where if you put a camera in your car and let them video tape you you can get lower rates..I cant think of a less appealing offer..there are sooooo many ways something like this can be used wrongly or unfairly.

A Republican you can get behind

Former Governor of New Mexico, Gary Johnson, threw in his hat for the Republican presidential nomination. This guy is a fiscal conservative, pro choice, anti foreign involvement, internet freedom candidate with lots of experience running government. Hes also climbed Mr. Everest and competes in the Ironman. If you are like me and think Obama was a huge disappointment and just more of the same, consider helping the Republicans take back their party from the nut jobs by supporting moderate Republican candidates

The military is NOT a jobs program. Children's services is NOT a jobs program. The government needs to stop using programs that arnt meant for it to generate jobs. Between public employees and the miltary I wonder what percentage of America's workforce isnt in a entitlement program.

Apparently our wonderful government is going around snatching up websites that act as peer to peer exchanges for mp3 and movies. Without any court warrant or notification. Just cause the Motion Picture Association of America asked them too. This upset someone, who, without ever having written any computer programs, wrote a plug in for mozilla that circumvents the governments enforcement. Homeland Security is now demanding internet browzers like Mozzila Firefox refuse to use the program.

Everyone has heard of the the comet the picked off the dinosaurs but there have been several other mass extinction events, including a most recent volcanic explosion on the island of Sumatra that cut the human population down to 10,000 individuals and prob killed off the other species of humans entirely. If you havnt heard of that one, then you prob dont know about the eruption in Siberia that killed off 83% off all life on Earth. Think of how bio diverse the world is now..and consider what we have is less that 17% of what was once living here.
